The Beginning

Well, I figured I'd start with why I decided to make this blog in the first place.  Just a few weeks ago, I applied to the University of Louisville, which is a state college located in Kentucky.  I plan on dorming up at this college, and doing it all with a relatively low budget.  However, about a week ago, I took an On-Campus tour, and during this tour, I was discouraged from pursuing my current major.  This major was Speed School of Engineering: Computer Eng/Prog., and it was going to be year round, with 3 mandatory co-ops throughout.  I am already planning on working at a local UPS to fund the tuition, so stacking the 3 co-ops with my UPS job was simply not an option.  Therefore, I emailed UofL to try and get this major changed to Computer Systems and Info in the School of Business, and to this day, they still have not responded.

Along with this issue, I have the issue of being able to afford the dorms.  They are roughly 4,300 per year, and this is going to come out of my own pocket, with the help of no one else.  On top of this, I have to purchase a food card each semester for roughly 1,000 in itself.  I realise that this is only possible for me through the use of student loans, and possible financial aid.  So I guess the real reason I made this blog is to vent all of the stress I am currently accumulating from this process.  I'm sure those numbers are petty to some of you, but to a 17 year old kid working part time while attending school and receiving no financial help from his parents who make enough to stop a FAFSA from being successfull, its a load.
